What happens?

Much of the process to carry out vehicle servicing is the same process regardless of the vehicle dependant on the level of service purchased. All waste products removed are disposed of in accordance to the current legal requirements as stated by the local Environmental services agency

Start the manual or visual inspection of your vehicle (depending on level of service purchased) and produce report

What are the symptoms?

Your vehicle may not display any kind of symptoms this does not mean a service is not required. All vehicle manufacturers list their recommended service levels and intervals for every vehicle and we strongly suggest/recommend that these are followed as closely as possible to find and prevent any future issue that could become very costly.

What are the symptoms?

What happens?

If your water pump is driven by your cam belt then this cam belt has to be removed and therefore can not be replaced with any kind of warranty, so it is strongly advised that you have this replaced at the same time. Please choose our cam belt kit replacement option as this will include all the required items to complete the job correctly and maintain a full warranty

If the leak is not obvious then the cooling system will be pressurised to reveal any leaks
Remove the old pump and replace with new
Refill with antifreeze and water

What happens?

Notes

The antifreeze in the coolant system can deteriorate over time and the freezing point should be maintained to avoid the coolant system from freezing during the winter months or this could be a very expensive repair. It also helps to maintain the correct running temperature during the summer period

All products used are new and not remanufactured unless otherwise requested. All 3 main parts will be replaced ie: clutch friction plate, clutch cover and release bearing. Your garage will contact you if they believe there to be any issues with the flywheel before re-fitting the new clutch. Much of the process to change a clutch is relatively the same however there are a few standard steps. The garage will start by

What happens?

If the garage find the condition of the existing flywheel to be an issue they will contact you with the required remedy and costs before proceeding, Please understand that if you do not wish to proceed with the garages recommendations this may alter the warranty of the new clutch supplied.

What are the symptoms?

The engine speed will rise/increase, but the vehicle will not increase in speed, this will be more apparent up hill or under hard acceleration
You will notice an awful smell within the car
You will find it more difficult to engage gears and experience a crunching noise when the engine is running
The position at which the clutch pedal biting point will change (normally gets higher)

Notes

The clutch is usually made up of 3 parts 1.clutch plate. 2.clutch cover. 3.clutch release bearing put in to simple terms the clutch plate is basically a friction disc/plate that, when activated with the other two parts by depressing and releasing the clutch pedal, it presses and in return releases against the flywheel which in turn receives drive connecting it from the flywheel to the gearbox hence driving the vehicle.

Air Con re-gas is vehicle specific, there are currently 2 types used R134a / R1234yf (air con refrigerant), if in doubt please ask your garage or check in your vehicle’s manual to see which is the correct refrigerant gas for your vehicle. The broken coil spring can penetrate the inside of the the tyre causing a puncture

Notes

Coil springs should always be replaced in pairs as NO warranty can be given on a single replacement

In some occasions where a coil spring has broken right at the bottom it is not always that obvious or easy to identify without taking it to a garage. Due to the timing belt being encased by covers it is not always possible to inspect it without removing items. The belt requires replacement at certain intervals according to the respective manufacturers. There are very few symptoms or signs that the timing belt has a fault until it breaks. This is why it is so important that you adhere to the manufacturers recommended schedule for replacement.

With all vehicles there is normally more than one choice of alternator fitted, this is dependant on the level of electrical equipment fitted to your vehicle. You must always replace like for like, so if there is more than one price / part listed here it is imperative that your existing alternator is identified and an identical part used for replacement as this could cause considerable damage to your vehicle.

What are the symptoms?
Some brake pads require a new wear indicator to be fitted at the same time, please contact the garage for details, All new brakes require a bedding in process and may make a noise until this has been achieved. Your garage will advise you accordingly

• An audible squeal or grinding sound may be heard whilst braking

Front Brake Pads and Discs (various brands available)
Free collection and return (participating garages only, may be extra charge)
12 month warranty on parts & labor

What happens?

Receive vehicle and record any existing damage, mileage, dash lights that may be on
Mechanic to check and confirm brakes are required
If required new brakes to be fitted
Brake fluid to be topped up if required
Mechanic will test drive vehicle and check all work before handing vehicle back to customer

What are the symptoms?

Some brake pads require a new wear indicator to be fitted at the same time, please contact the garage for details, All new brakes require a bedding in process and may make a noise until this has been achieved. Your garage will advise you accordingly

Warning lights indicating low brakes may appear on the dash
An audible squeal or grinding sound may be heard whilst braking
The vehicle may pull to one side whilst braking
There may be vibration or juddering under braking
Brakes may feel like they are fading or inadequate

Notes

Bedding in process normally takes place over the next 200-300 miles, please refrain from heavy and prolonged braking where ever possible.
